I just updated to build 10565 and now I can only use Microsoft Basic Display Driver for the display, so I'm stuck at 1280x1024 at best. My Radeon HD 3850 is listed under Display adapters in Device Manager, but it says 'No drivers are installed for this device.' In the properties. However, it also says that the driver version is 15.200.1060.0 so there's a driver but it's not loaded for some reason? Updating the driver just says that the best driver for the device is already installed. This has happened once before after an update and I solved it somehow, I just can't remember how. The HD 3850 is apparently not officially supported in Win 10, but it has worked fine since january except these two times.

I rolled back the update and that solved it. The driver version is now 8.970.100.9001 which works fine. I now remember how I fixed it last time, I rolled back the driver to this one. After this latest update that wasn't possible because the 'Roll Back Driver' option was greyed out so I had to roll back the entire update. Apparently the new driver doesn't work for me. In my experience it's almost always best to go to the manufacturer's website (be it AMD or Nvidia) and get the most recent driver for your vid card.
The last operating system supported using the AMD drivers was Microsoft Windows速 8 with the AMD Catalyst 13.1 driver package, which can be downloaded from the AMD Driver page: Driver support for these products under Windows速 8.1 and Windows速 10 is only available via Windows Update. Please enable Windows Update to allow it to automatically detect and install display driver version 8.970.100.9001 The driver in Windows Update has since been updated to one that doesn't work for me, and unlike the last time the option to rollback the driver is no longer there. Could the drivers for Win 8 work in Win 10 anyway? If so I might update windows and then install the drivers intended for Win 8.
I think you mean it's an Aspire One A OD270, as I can't see an AD270 listed on Acer's support site. Windows 10 isn't supported on that model, hence the issue with the graphics driver. Acer have only released Windows 7 drivers for that particular model (according to the drivers page on their website): The idea is that you should check the manufacturer's website for drivers before changing the OS. If that's the only missing driver on the laptop, it may be delivered via Windows Automatic Updates (provided the laptop is connected to the internet of course). When this will occur (and if) I don't know. I think you mean it's an Aspire One A OD270, as I can't see an AD270 listed on Acer's support site. Thanks Phillip for answering, I meant AOD270 I installed windows 10 on it already but the graphics is the only problem the problem is it comes with windows 7 starter and win7 is really slow on this computer it lags so much what do you recommend? Going back to windows 7?
Do you know a fix for the lag I upgraded to win 10 because it was really slow and on my pc windows 10 made it a lot faster I upgraded with the iso from Microsoft website.
